“Consistent and Understanding”

NeoLore “is consistent and understanding”

The South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre (SEOCHC) is a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides healthcare services, and acts as a vital community hub. Services include primary care, health promotion, social services, community and resource development, home support and advocacy.
Like other institutions in the healthcare industry, community health centres face many technology-related challenges, including infrastructure limitations, digital literacy gaps, data privacy and security concerns, interoperability issues, and the need for ongoing training and support.
“It was time for a change”
“We had an MSP (managed service provider) in place for about fourteen years,” Justin Nesbitt, Director, Finance & Corporate Services, SEOCHC, explains. “I think what happened is that they just took us for granted. There were issues. It was definitely time for a change. That’s how NeoLore got involved.
“For us, the first step in securing a new MSP was putting together a Request for Proposal (RFP). It’s a lot of work and extremely time-consuming, but it must be done. I knew about NeoLore for years. I was aware of their current services due to their marketing materials. So, we called them in.”
NeoLore Networks’ solutions for small business infrastructures include such areas as proactive network management, reducing downtime, network security, and overseeing the IT budget.
“A Win-Win Situation”
Justin emphasizes the effectiveness of NeoLore’s sales approach. “First off, NeoLore wanted us to take our time as we began the process. That really stood out. We weren’t rushed. We were very busy during that period, and we appreciated that attitude. We had to sit down and collect our thoughts. NeoLore was patient.
“At one point, during a meeting, they said something that really stood out. NeoLore believed it was a partnership, a win-win situation. It was a very holistic way of looking at it. It wasn’t just talking. They felt mistakes could be made, but we were all going to learn from them. They were talking about a relationship. I can tell you, by what happened later, they were on board. NeoLore doesn’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk in real-life situations. They keep their commitments, and they keep their word.”
NeoLore’s approach to network support offers numerous benefits, including cost reduction, increased efficiency, access to expertise, and improved business continuity. By outsourcing IT tasks to NeoLore, businesses can focus on core operations, reduce the burden on their in-house IT staff, and gain access to specialized skills and resources.
As well, Neolore’s commitment to small businesses enhances an organization’s all-important security posture. “There are many groups in the healthcare industry that are getting cyber attacked,” Justin explains. “You must keep ahead of the issues. We have invested a lot in IT. It’s a comfort to know that NeoLore has 24/7 support. They look after our network system. We are well ahead of other groups in terms of protection.”
“Consistent and Understanding”
“When I think of the way NeoLore handled the whole RFP process,” Justin says, “two words come to mind, ‘consistent’ and ‘understanding’. That attitude has continued.
“As I consider our relationship with NeoLore, it becomes apparent that we have proof that it’s working. If there are issues, they are quickly resolved. No one tries to avoid responsibility. Just the opposite. They ‘own’ the situation. Reports are made. We are kept aware of everything. They’re good at a sophisticated team approach. As I said, it’s a win-win situation.”
“I would recommend NeoLore 100%”
It has been predicted that community health centres will continue to face several technology-related challenges, including cybersecurity risks, ensuring data privacy, navigating the digital divide, adapting to evolving technologies like AI and machine learning, and managing an increasing volume of big data.
“Certainly, the healthcare industry has a lot of IT issues,” says Justin. “For instance, many people who work in the industry are low tech. They need support. For us, that’s where NeoLore, once again, comes in.”
Justin reflects on his experience with NeoLore. “I would highly recommend NeoLore, one hundred percent, to community health centres and other groups who really must keep ahead of it all.”
